I really liked this book and the characters. It has a mature, edgy feel. The protagonist is a cool cop type who handles stuff with a relaxed confidence. There's also good sexual tension (but not just fluffy kids-stuff romace) between him and the news woman in the story. The antagonist is on the edge, but not in a totally crazy way. You really get into his head and the see the way he puts together his plan for his killings.There's also more to this book under the surface. There's a strong theme of family trauma, and looking at how the protagonist and antogonist choose to deal with the trauma is really interesting and entertaining. The conflict between the different characters and their personalities is interesting.
I'd recommend checking it out. The price is right, and I found that it's a quick read on my Kindle.
